            <p id="isPasted">The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research.</p><p>We are ambitious and have a bold vision of what we want to achieve - shaping ourselves into one of the best universities in the world, which we are achieving through the talents and endeavour of every employee.</p><p>Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.</p><h3>The role</h3><p id="isPasted">The University of Surrey is a looking to recruit an Autoclave lab technician (part-time post at 0.6FTE which is 21.6 hours per week) within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Surrey.</p><p>Under the direction of the Senior Laboratory Technician, you will support operation of high-throughput decontamination and processing of laboratory waste materials as well as occasionally providing support to and working with other laboratory technicians within the school of Biosciences &amp; Medicine.</p><p><u>Key duties include:</u></p><ul><li>Daily collection of biological waste from teaching and research laboratories</li><li>Daily operation of waste autoclaves and glass washers</li><li>Achieving efficient turnaround times for reusable lab equipment</li><li>Working with the team to ensure a reliable, customer-friendly service</li></ul><h3>About you</h3><p>Ideally, you have experience of working in either laboratory environment, food industry, catering, medical or social care and have a good understanding of the Health &amp; Safety aspects of working with contaminated materials. Candidates returning from a career break, or parental leavers are encouraged to apply. Full training will be given on the relevant aspects of lab safety, chemical handling and biosafety involved.</p><p>Key to this role is a practical and methodical approach to work, ability to undertake manual handling of materials and an ability to work independently and have good time management skills.</p><p>The University of Surrey is an amazing place to work.           <title><![CDATA[Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Content Provenance (041526)]]></title>

            <p id="isPasted">We are recruiting for a Research Fellow in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Content Provenance to develop new AI-based technologies for rights, attribution and licensing in live music and digital media.</p><p>You will join the UKRI/AHRC-funded BRAID P3R project, working within the CoSTAR National Lab as part of a collaboration between the University of Surrey and Royal Holloway, University of London. The project will develop new technical approaches that enable performers, creators and rights holders to express and protect rights over their work and likeness as live performances are captured, transformed and distributed across digital platforms.</p><p>The research will build on Surrey&rsquo;s world-leading work in content authenticity and media provenance. You will develop new Computer Vision, AI and multimedia technologies for identifying and representing rights associated with performers and creative works across images, video and audio. A particular focus will be the development of provenance-based licensing infrastructure that can associate rights and permissions with media and with the performers represented within it. This will include exploring techniques for determining the presence and likeness of performers within visual media, for example using biometric and privacy-preserving representations, and connecting these signals to provenance and licensing information using standards such as C2PA (Content Credentials).</p><p>A further strand of the project will explore audio watermarking for live performance, including robust watermarking of live audio streams and its integration with provenance and licensing frameworks. The research will contribute towards a technical framework and APIs that external companies can integrate with to prototype new services for rights-aware capture, distribution and reuse of live performance content.</p><p>You will join the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, a world-leading research centre in Computer Vision, AI and multimedia. Our team has a strong international track record in content provenance and authenticity research spanning computer vision, watermarking, machine learning, privacy-preserving technologies and open standards. We have contributed extensively to the development of the C2PA Content Credentials standard and worked closely with industry to translate provenance research into technologies used in real-world products and services.</p><p>The project is highly collaborative and interdisciplinary. You will work with researchers at Surrey and Royal Holloway, the wider CoSTAR National Lab community, and industry partners who will help integrate and evaluate technologies developed through the project. The role provides an opportunity both to publish fundamental research in leading international venues and to translate that research into demonstrators, APIs and prototype systems with external partners.</p><p>The position will be based at the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. The post is available for an immediate start and is for a duration of 12 months.             <h3 id="isPasted">About the Role</h3><p>We are seeking an experienced, proactive and highly organised Technician to oversee the effective day-to-day operation of Surrey Clinical Simulation Centre, Clinical skills facilities and specialist psychology facilities such as XR/VR labs across the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. This is a key role supporting teaching and research activity across the Schools of Health Sciences, Medicine and Psychology.&nbsp;</p><p>The successful candidate will act as a main point of contact for technical services, working closely with academic and professional services staff, students, external suppliers and wider University stakeholders. You will ensure that laboratory, Clinical Skills and Simulation spaces, equipment, technical support and health and safety processes are managed to a high standard, enabling excellent teaching, and research outcomes.</p><p>This role would suit an experienced Clinical skills/Simulation manager or technical services professional with strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge and a commitment to delivering a safe, efficient and student-focused service.</p><h3>About You</h3><p>The successful candidate will have experience of managing and overseeing clinical skills, simulation, specialist teaching, or research facilities, ideally within a higher education, healthcare, psychology, life sciences, or related environment.</p><p>You will be confident in coordinating day-to-day operational activity, managing and supporting staff, assisting facility users, and ensuring that facilities are maintained to high standards of safety, compliance, accessibility, and service delivery.</p><p>Experience of working within teaching or learning environments would be advantageous, along with an understanding of the need to deliver high-quality support in a busy, fast-paced setting. You will be highly organised, able to plan effectively, manage competing priorities, and respond flexibly to changing operational demands.</p><p>The role will require regular communication with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, academic colleagues, professional services staff, and external partners.
