With over 40 members from more than 15 countries, the School of Economics at Surrey (https://www.surrey.ac.uk/school-economics) enjoys a strong reputation for Research and Teaching in Economics, built upon a commitment to high quality, rigorously founded applied and theoretical research, often of direct policy significance. We have recently invested heavily to recruit staff whose innovative work is having a large impact on international research agendas.

To support our strategy, we would like to make an appointment at Lecturer (Assistant Professor) or Senior Lecturer level in econometrics, from September 2022. This position reflects a growing interest in the field of econometrics, machine learning, and big data. In fact, we are also launching a MSc pathway in Econometrics and Big Data, which will provide opportunities for teaching and supervision in this area.

You will be fully supported in contributing to research activities within the School, as well as participating in externally funded collaborative research projects, alongside your own. Through your teaching you’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in the leadership, engagement and satisfaction of our student population at any level, including the opportunity to mentor and support our outstanding MSc and PhD students.

To apply, please submit a cover letter, indicating how your profile would enhance the School’s research and teaching environment, a copy of your CV and at least one research paper. Please have three referees send their reference letters by email to Ms Helen Dee (h.dee@surrey.ac.uk).
