The University of Surrey is a top ten UK University set in a beautiful campus close to London.  Surrey is rated highly for teaching, and we are proud to hold a Gold TEF award.  As a growing School with a particular peak in activity in the coming semester, we are seeking to appoint several flexible Teaching Fellows to support our teaching programmes in our School of Biosciences and Medicine.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Teaching Fellow to join an existing team of three who run the Bioscience Foundation Programme.  Since this programme will prepare students for direct entry into our degree programmes, prior experience of teaching at FHEQ levels 3 or 4 is essential. We are looking to appoint someone who is experienced in handling the challenges associated with transition to HE and shares the progressive and student-centered teaching philosophy of our existing team.

Applicants should have a life sciences background.  We will be happy to consider flexible working requests (including part-time and variable hours applications) which you should outline along with your availability in your cover letter.  Due to peak in demand in the Spring semester, candidates can only be considered if available for January/February start.

This role offers a fantastic development opportunity for those keen to explore an academic role in our vibrant learning and teaching community at Surrey.  In addition to salary, you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement, access to USS pension, childcare assistance and other family-friendly policies. For details on the benefits of working with us, and to apply on-line please visit our website: www.surrey.ac.uk/vacancies

Interviews: Week commencing 13th December 2021.
