This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of forensic science provision at the University.</p><p><strong>The role</strong></p><p>As part of our ongoing development and expansion within the School, we are seeking to appoint a permanent Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor and also programme leader in Forensic Science. &nbsp;The successful applicant will be expected to lead on the development of a new undergraduate programmes within forensic science and ideally will be an experienced programme leader. &nbsp;Experience of developing industrial training opportunities would be advantageous. &nbsp; Applicants will also be expected to contribute high quality teaching within the School. &nbsp;You will be responsible for lectures, tutorials, laboratory classes and project supervision, as well as academic duties including student assessment, marking and pastoral support. &nbsp;The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to shape future forensic science provision by helping shape the new crime scene and in the recruitment of additional staff.</p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>Applicants should hold (or be close to completing) a PhD in a forensic science related topic, or alternatively have a BSc and the equivalent on-the-job experience.</p><p>The role also offers ample scope to develop your research career at Surrey and with a proven track record, you will be expected to establish your own independent research programme utilising our excellent research facilities for forensic science and analytical chemistry-based research.</p><p>This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably motivated individual to help shape the future of forensic science teaching and research provision within the School.</p><p>For informal enquiries, please contact the Head of School, Professor Adrian Dobbs on <a data-fr-linked="true" href="mailto:A.Dobbs@surrey.ac.uk">A.Dobbs@surrey.ac.uk</a></p><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p>Please apply on the University website with your CV and cover letter and also answering the questions on the application form.</p><p><span data-teams="true" id="isPasted">The University of Surrey reserves the right to close this vacancy early or extend based on Volume and Calibre of applications.</span></p>
