The University of Surrey is one of the UK’s leading public research universities. Join 2,500 staff and 17,000 students in an inspiring, innovative and diverse environment to make a positive impact through free-thinking and hard work.

IT Services are committed to driving forward several exciting transformational programmes which support the University’s strategy. Our ‘OneSurrey’ Programme is transforming the way we deliver digital support services to our students and staff, through rolling out a unified ticketing solution, consolidating the ways that people engage with us, and implementing a data and performance driven service culture, creating a better experience for our staff and students.

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Business Analyst to share responsibility for bringing our strategic vision to life. The role is vital in the development of our technical solutions and business processes by producing the high-quality analysis necessary to inform decisions and implement successful, efficient and effective processes across the university. You will collaborate with the Customer Service Excellence Manager, Continuous Improvement team and stakeholders across the organisation to elicit the information necessary for evidence-based decision making. This will support technical and business change, maximising the quality and efficiency of processes, changes, and systems. You will work with integrity and demonstrate commitment to delivering sustainable change at pace.

Your application will demonstrate experience of leading the analysis of large and complex problems/requirements, problem solving and analysis. We are also looking for significant experience of business analysis in a large organisation and the ability to use excellent interpersonal skills to communicate complex technical concepts in clear and concise terms both verbally and in writing. A professional qualification such as BCS Business Analysis Certification is desirable.

In return we offer a generous pension, relocation assistance, flexible working options including job share and blended home/campus working locations (dependent on work duties), access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes and supportive family friendly benefits including an excellent on-site nursery.

The University of Surrey is committed to providing an inclusive environment that offers equal opportunities for all. We value everyone in our community and are seeking to increase the diversity. Therefore, we particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups, such as people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups and people with disabilities.

Please apply by uploading a covering letter and full CV.  Interviews may start before the closing date, so please apply early.
