Due to the creation of an Admissions Enquiries Team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maternity cover appointment in the Recruitment & Admissions Directorate. The Admissions Enquiries Team is responsible for providing an effective and efficient enquiries service for the University. As a relatively new team there will be the opportunity to be involved in the initial creation and development of this area.

You will be the first point of contact for applicants, responding to all admissions related enquires, providing high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner.  You will have extensive contact with applicants and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external contact with other bodies such as UCAS. You may also be required to work with the wider Admissions Team as necessary, which will involve the processing of applications, making decisions consistently and fairly against pre-defined entry criteria.

In addition to these duties, it is expected that the role holder will work with the Admissions Team when required and participate in University Applicant and Open Days and other external recruitment events as required.

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office. Experience of working with a university student record systems, such as SITS and in the field of higher education is desirable. An understanding of university admissions processes would also be a distinct advantage.
