Your new role
As a Senior Finance Analyst you are a key member of the FP&A function, providing insightful analysis to all areas of the University, directly impacting the University’s financial sustainability. Reporting to the Head of Financial Analytics with in a team of 3 the role has overall responsibility for analysing the University’s income & e expenditure ( Teaching, Research and Commercial Activities ) including the annual return to HEFCE ( Higher Education Funding Council for England).
This role offers the opportunity to develop and embed an activity based costing approach a cross the University, supporting strategic decision s making to deliver long term financial sustainability. You will look to develop the role by identifying and exploring analytical opportunities working alongside colleagues from within Finance and beyond.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ideally CCAB/CIMA qualified from either the private or public sector with a strength and proven track record in analysis large volumes of complex data. You must have a passion and vision for analysis and be creative in pulling together data into insightful information. You will be articulate as well as being proficient with Excel and other systems. As there will be links with finance colleagues and other key stakeholders, relationship building skills are vital.
