Physics Research and Teaching Laboratory Technician

The post holder will provide technical support to undergraduate laboratory classes during semester but will also provide support to research activities in Physics Department laboratories. This will primarily be in the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) research laboratories where the psot holder will assist in the development, construction and modification of research apparatus and experiments. The post holder will also ensure that all necessary testing, calibration, repair and maintenance of NMR spectrometers/probes and other laboratory apparatus is performed as required.
You will have good communication and IT skills. A qualification in Physics or a related subject plus some relevant work experience or learning gained through work experience (including short courses and other formal training) is essential. An ability to operate standard laboratory instruments is required.
