Do you have ideas on what modern learning spaces in a university library should look like? Are you able to utilise qualitative and quantitative data and pull together options and scenarios to help people visualise the art of the possible?

And then are you able to provide project management support to ensure the vision is turned into reality?

If so there is an exciting opportunity at the University of Surrey to get involved in a project that seeks to enhance the student learning experience by utilising our existing Library & Learning Support space into what you are modelling. By the late summer of 2017 we aim to have transformed a significant area and want to employ someone to help us achieve this.

The project is part of a wider University project which the successful post holder will also have some involvement in.

This is an important role and we require evidence of specific skills, particularly:

  • Graphical and visual design skills
  • Experience of planning spaces or moving complex environments
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to take and model data from various sources to support recommendations and models
  • Communications and stakeholder management alongside influencing skills

In recent years, Surrey has established itself as a top-ten university in major national university league table rankings. We have also been named both 'University of the Year' and 'University of the Year for Student Experience' in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016.

In addition to salary you will receive a generous annual leave entitlement and excellent development opportunities. Benefits package includes generous salary package, award-winning pension scheme, child care assistance and discounted membership to our world-renown Surrey Sports Park.
