We are inviting applications for the post of Research Integrity and Governance Officer in our Research and Innovation Office. We are seeking individuals who are motivated and highly organised in delivering the University’s ethics, integrity and governance processes. As a Research Integrity and Governance Officer, you will be joining the Research Integrity and Governance Office (RIGO), a friendly, dedicated and professional team working with staff (academic and professional) and students (undergraduates and postgraduates) on a day to day basis.

Your role will be a supportive and pivotal role in providing advice and guidance on all matters relating to research activities across the University. This includes to foster and embed an excellent culture of research integrity, through training and engagement events. You will be an important part of ensuring that the University’s research obtains the correct ethical approval (internal and external), is integral in the way research is conducted and compliant with all the regulatory and legal requirements. 


You will need to be an enthusiastic and confident, with excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need the ability to work both independently and able to interact effectively within team. We would like applications from individuals who have the following: 

  • Some understanding of research in a higher education, industry or charities; 

  • Experience of working in research ethics, integrity and governance and/or research support roles. 

  • Experience or working in a research environment; 

  • Worked in the National Health Service (NHS) as a healthcare professional, researcher or Research & Development (R&D); 

  • Understanding or having worked in clinical trials (NHS or industry);
