We are seeking a three talented Faculty Content Officers (one for each of our diverse faculties) to create engaging content that supports the reputation/profile of their faculty’s teaching, research and partnership activities. They will be responsible for creating exciting and engaging content for a variety of different audiences across our digital channels and print publications and will be able to adapt the tone and complexity accordingly.

These roles will:

  • Source, create, write and edit compelling content for both online and offline communications from within the University
  • Be responsible for maintaining high standards and ensuring accuracy of content, through ongoing monitoring, meticulous proofreading and dissemination of good practice
  • Source material, including interviews with staff and students, to assist with the generation of content for distribution within campaigns, events or online
  • Be a champion of, and consistently deliver, our brand tone of voice and copywriting style guide.

They will report into the Content Creation Manager, but work closely with the Faculty Marketing Manager, working in support of the Faculty’s strategic priorities.

They will also work more widely with colleagues in Student Marketing, Corporate & Research Marketing, and Communications, feeding Faculty stories in to the editorial process. They will have a close link with their Faculty’s Research Impact Officer around co-ordinating efforts in support of the Research Excellence Framework and will work closely with many Faculty academic and professional services staff.
