The role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who is highly organised and enjoys engaging with customers as a Faculty Short Courses Administrator, in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
This is a part-time role, 18 hours per week.
The post holder will take responsibility for the administration of the existing short courses programme, including public courses, bespoke courses and the MSc by short course programme. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all short course enquiries
- Generating invoices
- Booking and payment of lecturers
- Bollating course notes
- Organising relevant catering and room bookings
- Managing the short course database
The post holder will work closely with the course directors and industry organisations.
About you
We are looking for someone who is good at problem solving, with excellent communications skills and who can work autonomously. Proven experience in managing multiple projects and activities to meet deadlines is essential, as is experience or understanding of the Higher Education or Continuing Education industry, with understanding of work practices, processes and procedures within the Faculty and wider University.
