The Finance and Accounting discipline has core research strengths in corporate finance, fintech and banking. The Department is a healthy mix of research active and practitioner faculty, the latter bringing a wealth of business and professional experience. We seek to appoint a Lecturer in Finance (Research and Teaching Track).
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear individual research agenda leading to publications in top international journals. The appointee will teach in the Surrey Business School/ Finance and Accounting discipline at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in finance areas, in addition to general contribution with the Department programmes. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with research interests and teaching experience in the areas of FinTech and/or sustainability in addition to other fields of finance. Many of our courses are taught in a collaborative manner, and we value collegiality and team spirit.
We would also attach additional weights to experience in bidding for external funding in the last three years and/or engagement in funded activity such as executive education, consultancy and/or business engagement.
Conditions and compensation will be at internationally competitive standards and be commensurate with the appointee’s experience and expertise.
For an informal discussion please contact the Head of Department, Vicky Milligan (Email: v.milligan@surrey.ac.uk)
Interviews will be held on Thursday the 3rd July.
