The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the department of Sociology in an essential role to support students and staff in Forensic Investigation teaching and research.
The department currently delivers a range of Crime Scene, forensic investigation and policing related modules which include a range of practicals in our crime scene flat and associated lab space. The role will be to manage the operation of the spaces, which will include:
• assisting in the design and delivery of practical scenarios for teaching
• liaising with key stakeholders and suppliers,
• purchasing and maintenance of equipment,
• training users on specialist equipment
• supporting research requests
• supporting outreach activities
About you
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to help develop the Forensic Investigation provision within the department. We would particularly welcome candidates who have knowledge of forensic investigation or experience in a related professional setting, who understand the importance of providing students with an excellent learning experience.
