Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing and interpreting user requirements to implement new system functionality.
  • Providing technical expertise in system administration, including data migration, security setup, reporting structures, and system controls.
  • Delivering staff training to key users on financial systems.
  • Developing comprehensive system documentation for Finance staff and other end-users.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks with current and new processes and ensuring that system problems are rapidly investigated and resolved.
  • Assisting in the specification of Unit4 systems developments, ensuring alignment with best practice and regulatory compliance.

About you

We are looking for an expert user of the Unit4 system who can leverage their knowledge and technical expertise to enable the University to utilise the cloud applications to their full potential.

The successful candidate will have significant relevant experience in a finance systems role, and will also have:

  • A proven track record of successful software/application deployment and administration.
  • Experience in developing reports from relational databases using SQL.
  • Relevant Agresso/Unit4 experience.
  • ARC, RERX, and Excelerator skills.

We are looking for someone with strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills, who can work effectively in a team and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.

What we can offer

In addition to salary, you will receive a yearly incremental pay rise, generous annual leave entitlement of 25 days holiday plus 7 university closure days and 8 bank holidays (pro rata for part time roles), a generous pension, access to world-class leisure facilities on campus, a range of travel schemes, and supportive family friendly benefits including an excellent on-site nursery.
