The role

We would like to invite applications for a 6-months Research Fellow post at 60% pro-rata (3 days a week) in the School of Psychology, as part of a large European project “Community of Food Science Research - COMFOCUS”. 

The post will offer an opportunity to a successful candidate to contribute to the study of food-related behaviour (e.g. psychology, sociology, nutrition), enabling research utilising new methodologies (e.g. EEGs, eye tracker, physiological measures), analysing data and helping write up publications In addition, it will be a unique opportunity to work on innovative methods of research such as big data analytics and to join a network of leading international scientists within the domain.  

About you

The candidate should have a doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to food consumer science such as psychology, sociology, public health, nutrition. The post-holder should have a developing profile of high-quality publications, strong skills in literature review and synthesis, excellent analytical skills, and knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods. The experience of working in complex and multi-disciplinary teams is desirable.

The candidate will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of scientists within the domain of food consumption, machine learning and innovation governance.
