Content Coordinator (Acquisition and Innovation)

The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research.

We are ambitious and have a bold vision of what we want to achieve - shaping ourselves into one of the best universities in the world, which we are achieving through the talents and endeavour of every employee.

Our culture empowers people to achieve this aim and to collectively, and individually, make a real difference.

The role

We are seeking to appoint a Content Coordinator (Acquisition and Innovation) to work in our Content and Open Research team.

In this role you will be responsible for the co-ordination of our Acquisition activities, including but not limited to purchase, receipting, renewals, processing of the subscriptions and cancellations; ensuring seamless access for all users.

You will also play a key role in the provision of comprehensive, effective and efficient support in the area of digital innovation applied to acquisition and publishing, and the practical application of AI solutions to improve our Library Service workflows.

About you

We are looking for a confident individual with an interest in embedding digital innovation to Library Acquisition and to different publishing models. You will have an excellent understanding of the latest challenges and opportunities around Acquisition models and digital innovation (including AI) in the academic library context.

You will have experience of multi-tasking while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a busy service. As part of this role, you will produce reports and analyse complex data to help during decision making.

There is an expectation that the post holder will work some days on campus and that they will be able to support and train colleagues as needed.
