Lecturer in Criminology (Teaching Track)

The role

The post will be based in the Department of Sociology, a lively and collegiate department with a strong emphasis on both teaching and research, and will involve teaching across the range of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, supervising dissertations, supervising placement students, and contributing to the pastoral care of students. In addition, you will be expected to assume an administrative role within the department.

About you

We are looking for candidates with a relevant doctoral degree awarded (or thesis submitted) and experience of delivering high-quality teaching, with specific focus on areas of technology, cybercrime and policing. You will also have expertise in criminal justice/criminology, with a digital/cyberspace application. 

You must be able and willing to teach modules across the Department (in both Criminology and Sociology) and will also be happy to undertake key student support and relevant pastoral duties as well as other administrative duties.

In order to support our students in the coming academic term, candidates with immediate availability are preferred.
