Associate Tutors in English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

The School of Arts, Humanities and Creative Industries is seeking temporary, Associate Tutors to deliver our 2025 summer pre-sessional English courses.

Associate Tutors are needed for our online 8 week courses but it is possible that one tutor may be needed to teach on campus or a combination or both. Due to global mobility and social security issues, candidates would be required to work in the United Kingdom even if teaching takes place online.

Due to the nature of this role the University is not able to sponsor visas; applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

The contracts will be for 8 weeks from 7 July to 29 August; tutors will also be required to attend an online paid induction of two days on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 July.

Applicants should hold a degree, a TEFL/TESOL qualification (preferably a Diploma) and have experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes in a higher education context. A Master’s degree, preferably in a relevant subject, is desirable.

Pay

£778.79 per week + 12.07% holiday pay. We ask that applicants do not have pre-existing holiday or other commitments as these cannot be facilitated.

Post Type

This role is full time, fixed term from 07 July to 29 August 2025.

Location

Online and on campus in Guildford, Surrey.

Further Information and how to apply
