We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable individual with significant experience in supporting people with a wide range of mental health difficulties and an enthusiasm for empowering students to achieve their potential within the Higher Education sector.

The role itself will include case co-ordination of individuals with complex mental health needs, assessing and managing risk and contributing towards the advancement of a ‘stepped care’ model within a multi-disciplinary team context. Alongside this, the role will include the coordination and delivery of our innovative peer mentor scheme and other trainings. The role also offers the opportunity to be involved in health promotion activities across the entire University community that help to reduce mental health stigma and promote positive wellbeing.

Experience of working with risk will be advantageous as well as experience of teaching/training.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join a highly successful and forward thinking service, and make a significant difference to the lives of those working and studying at the University.  You will be joining a team of enthusiastic and committed practitioners (nurses, social workers, counsellors and administrative staff) and working within a service that is continually striving to offer an excellent level of support to those in need.

The University of Surrey is amongst the highest achieving universities in the United Kingdom, having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016. We are ranked 10th in The Times Higher Education Table of Tables for UK universities in 2017, and we are the recipient of four Queen’s Anniversary Prizes.
