This post will be in vHive, The Veterinary Health Innovation Engine at Surrey University. vHive is a collaborative venture between the University of Surrey’s 5G Innovation Centre, the Centre for the Digital Economy, the School of Veterinary Medicine and Zoetis. The Centre is located in the new Veterinary School at Surrey.

The successful candidate will complement our existing strengths in veterinary science through proven expertise in development and implementation of digital technologies for provision of new solutions in research, industry or education.

Your primary project will be the development and enhancement of the ‘PathPal’ platform, which is a data entry application written in Golang for post mortem examination data entry.

Front and back end development skills and a degree in a relevant technical discipline are key attributes of the successful candidate.

You’ll need to combine very strong wide-ranging coding skills with those of a developer.

You will work closely with vHive’s Strategy and Delivery Manager to develop and implement new digital innovation platforms within the animal health industry.

You may also be involved in the supervision of students or in working with co-located staff to assist in project delivery.
