This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic veterinary anatomist with a passion for undergraduate teaching to join our supportive, multidisciplinary teaching team at the University of Surrey, School of Veterinary medicine, dedicated to equipping the next generation of veterinarians to engage with the challenges of the 21st Century. This is a full time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will bring understanding and experience of veterinary anatomy teaching at undergraduate level. The ability to adopt innovative teaching approaches which engage and inspire students would be a key strength. A willingness to work flexibly and to adapt to teaching creatively in a range of different contexts is essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. The school adopts an integrated, systems-based approach to preclinical teaching, with the majority of the anatomy taught in year 1 of the programme, and so an ability to use examples to help students appreciate the clinical relevance of anatomy would be an advantage.

The post holder will work closely with and be supported by other anatomy teaching staff and an experienced technical team, with access to a dedicated, state-of-the-art anatomy teaching laboratory.

The University of Surrey, School of Veterinary Medicine follows a distributed model for final year teaching and we are actively partnered with leading veterinary practices and local research institutes whose clinicians and scientists participate in teaching throughout the undergraduate curriculum.
