Two opportunities have arisen in the Recruitment & Admissions Directorate, working in the Admissions team as team leaders. There will be two fixed term positions available. 

 

The Admissions team is responsible for providing an effective and efficient admissions service for the University. You will be responsible for managing a team that will be the first point of contact for applicants, responding to all admissions related enquires, providing high levels of customer service in a timely and professional manner.  Your team will have responsibility for the processing of applications, making decisions consistently and fairly against pre-defined entry criteria. You will have extensive contact with staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external contact with other bodies such as UCAS, NARIC and the UKVI. In addition to these duties, it is expected that the role holder will work within the admissions team when required and participate in University applicant and open days and other external recruitment events as required.

 

You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately. You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office. Experience of working with a university student records system, such as SITS, and in the field of higher education is desirable. An understanding of university admissions processes would also be a distinct advantage.
