The Employer Engagement Team is critical to the University’s aim of improving the employability of our students. The team facilitates the link between employers and students, developing relationships with employers to feed into their early talent recruitment. We are a recently formed team working with a new approach to Employer Engagement at the University and this is an exciting time to join. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Employability and Careers team’s strategic aim of maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the University with employers. The role focuses on facilitating contact between students and employers in a range of ways, and marketing the activities of the Employability and Careers team to ensure maximum student participation in a wide range of employer engagement activities and employer-related events. This includes Employer led Skills Sessions, Panel events and Careers Fairs alongside a wide range of events held by the Employability and Careers team to offer students an insight into the world of work and enhance their employability skills. 

A natural relationship builder, you will have excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills in addition to strong organisational skills. Experience in a client focused, account and or/ events management role would be advantageous. 

This Part time position is to support the work of the Employer Engagement team during peak times in the team’s workload. As such, while salary is paid evenly over the year, post-holders will typically undertake the role over 32 core weeks of the year, inclusive of term-time and other periods of high demand. Ability to support the team’s evening events is essential for this position.
