An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Sport Delivery Department for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team for a 45 week placement. This role could be the ideal next step in your career, if you are proactive, self-motivated and highly organised then we want to hear from you.

As part of the student sport vision to increase physical activity and participation opportunities across the campus, Surrey Sports Park is looking to recruit a Sport Engagement Assistant to continue the growth and development of our programmes, SurreyMoves+ and PlaySport, to further increase physical activity and sports participation amongst students and staff. Working alongside colleagues in both Surrey Sports Park and the Students Union as well as across the wider University, the post holder will design and provide opportunities for individuals to regularly increase participation in both sport and physical activity. Experience of developing and organising initiatives for increasing sport and physical activity is desirable for the role along with sound knowledge of physical activity, health and wellbeing initiatives.

The post holder will possess good IT, administration and organisational skills, as well as an understanding of and ability to use technology to engage participants in activity. Alongside these they will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills combined with the passion and motivation to help make a positive impact on activity levels across our campus. In addition, the post holder will need to be adaptable and have a flexible approach to work including the availability to work evenings and weekends where required.
