The University of Surrey, School of Health Sciences, is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow (0.8FTE) in the increasingly important area of wellbeing and quality care for older people in the last years of life.  The postholder will work alongside Professor Caroline Nicholson to develop our expertise, research capacity and impact locally, nationally and internationally. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an ambitious research programme with a strong focus on clinically applied healthcare research to improve the experience of, and care delivery to, older people with progressive, life-limiting illness.

The successful candidate will have a range of quantitative and/or qualitative research skills, a desire to contribute intellectually and a strong enthusiasm and passion to improve care for older people with complex needs. The appointee will have excellent project management and communication skills and an interest in using social media.  The post-holder will be supported to submit research proposals, write for publication and develop as an independent researcher, contributing to the School of Health Sciences’ vibrant body of researchers.

This position is a fixed-term position until August 2024.
