Content Lead (Acquisition and Innovation)

The role

We are seeking to appoint a Content Lead (Acquisition and Innovation) to work in our Content and Open Research team. 

In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist day to day lifecycle management support to the library’s subscription and open licensed collections. 

You will also play a key role in maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition and access of library materials in both physical and digital format (including but not limited to subscription material, one off acquisition of books, Inter Library Loans, and Digitised Content).

You will play a significant role in shaping and transforming how our content is curated and consumed by our users, ensuring the use of innovative technology is fully embedded and meets the evolving expectations of our users 

About you

We are looking for an confident individual with experience managing teams and budgets. You will have an excellent understanding of the latest challenges and opportunities around Content provision and digital innovation (including AI) in the academic library context. 

You will have experience of multi-tasking while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in a busy service. As part of this role, you will produce reports and analyse complex data to help during decision making.

There is an expectation that the post holder will work some days on campus and that they will be able to support colleagues across the team as needed.
