An opportunity has arisen within the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences for a pro-active, self-motivated and highly organised individual to join our Faculty HR team.

The main focus of this role will be to provide efficient administration to assist the HR team across the Faculty. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being in a busy environment and therefore, must have demonstrable administrative and organisational experience, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.

Your core duties will be managing the administration of the office, including being the first point of contact for visitors to the HR Office, filing sensitive documentation, employee correspondence, maintaining databases and data entry for appraisals and promotions. You will also be responsible for managing the Associate Staff Contracts and supporting the team with visa and right to work checks.

To be successful in this role you will need the confidence to deal with varied and demanding challenges, maintaining a professional, positive approach and telephone manner. You should be a team player who can adapt and be flexible in a changing environment. Good attention to detail is essential, as are great communication skills.

If you are able to work with a high degree of confidentiality, contribute constructively to our busy team, but also work on your own initiative and under pressure, then we would like to hear from you.  We offer a competitive salary and great benefits, including a very generous holiday allowance and pension.
