As part of an exciting and ambitious digital transformation, the University of Surrey is currently seeking an Power Platform Delivery Lead, responsible for the successful delivery of Microsoft Power Platform developments.

Role & Responsibilities: 

Acting as a ‘Scrum Master’ within the Digital Productivity Services Team, you will operate as servant leader, enabling the team to work effectively and ultimately meet delivery goals.

You’ll work closely with the Digital Productivity Services Manager and Dynamics Delivery Lead to ensure work flowing into the team is sufficiently defined, can be appropriately delivered, and act generally as the voice of the development team.  

The Digital Productivity Services Team develop Dynamics, Microsoft 365 and Power Platform Solutions, including workflow efficiencies, automation and apps. These solutions are provided across the whole University, encompassing the business and academic landscape. As well as working with the DPS Team, you’ll also engage with key stakeholders and other IT Colleagues to resolve issues or impediments that arise throughout the various stages of delivery.

 

Key responsibilities include

 

  • Act as Scrum Master to the Power Platform Squad
  • Facilitating Scrum events/ceremonies such as daily stand-up, sprint review/retrospective
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of sprint goals by removing any blockers or impediments
  • Provide dashboards/reports that articulate burndown/velocity trends and other key delivery information to stakeholders 
  • Encourage and actively participate in continuous improvement of delivery 
  • Ensure developments meet the agreed requirements, architecture, and quality standards
  • Work closely with DPS Manager to plan future sprints and ensure that the needs of the squad are satisfied to ensure successful delivery
  • Work closely with other Delivery Teams where cross team dependencies are identified.  This may involve co-ordinating or attending a ‘Scrum of Scrum’ ceremony/event for example
