We are searching for an experienced, resourceful and self-motivated Executive Assistant to join our team to provide high quality, comprehensive executive level support to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Research and Innovation.  

This is a wide-ranging role, and you will be responsible for a varied range of tasks relating to research and innovation activities at University level that require constant balancing: diary management, meeting co-ordination, servicing committees/working groups, project work, supporting functions, organising visits and delegations, and booking travel will be amongst the duties of the role. You will have the opportunity to liaise with a wide range of people (nationally, internationally, University departments and Executive Board colleagues) and be able to acquire new and develop existing skills.  Experience of providing an effective and comprehensive administrative service at a senior level is essential.

Excellent communication/interpersonal and organisational skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure, to manage confidential and sensitive issues with diplomacy, and to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate must have the ability to work under their own initiative with minimum supervision and be able to prioritise their own workload in a complex environment, often within tight timescales. A high degree of computer literacy is required and knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office tools and Outlook email systems is essential.
