The University is seeking applications for two two-year Research Fellow posts in the Department of Sociology, to start in September 2021. Successful applicants will work on a two-year ESRC-funded project ‘Doing Porridge: Understanding Women's Experiences of Food in Prison’ that will focus on the relationship between food, space, agency and social identity in the female prison estate.  You should hold a relevant doctoral degree or have submitted your thesis. You will have a developing profile of high-quality publications, experience of researching vulnerable groups, experience of qualitative research and data analysis, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of conducting research in a prison setting is desirable.
