The Faculty is made up of nine Schools and Departments; Economics, English and Languages, GSA, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Law, Music and Media, Politics, Sociology, and Surrey Business School. Within these are a number of research groups and centres, including Surrey Morphology Group, Centre for the Digital Economy and the Centre for International Macroeconomic Studies.

Working closely with the Associate Dean (Research), the post holder provides administrative support for a wide variety of research-related activities in the Faculty, to help the Faculty achieve its research targets and objectives. The post holder will assist with Faculty administrative processes and activities relating to research, including events intended to communicate and support research development formal Faculty processes to support research quality development (e.g. Faculty peer review processes, and servicing Faculty research committee meetings) and other initiatives and projects to support staff development and research grant activity, at the direction of the Associate Dean (Research).

The post holder will have a flexible and responsive nature, along with the ability to multi-task and the confidence to use initiative to solve problems, will ensure that you deliver an excellent service to our academics. Excellent communication, organisational and prioritisation skills are essential along with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
