The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is seeking a motivated individual to join the Clinical Placements Administration Team based on the Manor Park campus, within the School of Veterinary Medicine.  This is currently being advertised as a fixed term role until the end of November 2020.

With the University having been awarded the Times/ Sunday Times University of the Year Award for 2016, the posts represent an excellent opportunity for those wishing to develop a career in Higher Education at one of the UK's top Universities.

You will work closely with your Line Manager, and academic and administrative staff across the Faculty and central University services, in order to deliver a high quality and efficient service across a range of administration tasks, providing excellent administrative support and key activities will include day to day handling of student enquiries, maintaining student and placement information and supporting academic staff in the organisation of the students’ programme.

This position will require assuming responsibility for administering aspects of the students’ placements. The successful candidate will therefore need to be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus and understanding of what students and staff need, computing skills and with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy.

The role will require excellent interpersonal and organisational ability demonstrating adaptability and flexibility with regards to changing workloads and priorities. You will need to be adaptable to different situations and should be well organised and methodical in your approach.

Relevant administrative experience would be a distinct advantage. Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office packages, and familiarity with databases would be beneficial. Accuracy and attention to detail and a proactive approach to different groups of customers is essential.
