ESRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) Project Officer

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is looking for an experienced, proactive and confident project officer to work on the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Impact Acceleration Account (IAA). This is a new, exciting and varied role which would suit someone who is able to thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be able to multi-task and manage a varied workload, including supporting the ESRC IAA Manager with high-skilled coordination and administration activities to enable the delivery of the ESRC IAA aims and objectives. In addition, the successful candidate will be confident preparing and analysing budget reports and financial spend, as well as providing administrative support to executive committees. Familiarity with the production and promotion of online communications and resources will be helpful, as will previous experience organising and delivering events and engagement activities with stakeholders. Occasional evening, early morning and weekend work will be required to support some training programmes and events.

You will be familiar with and interested in the Higher Education research and impact agenda and the work of the ESRC, and ideally have had previous experience with social science disciplines and engagement with research stakeholders. You will be able to develop relationships and manage communication with a wide range of internal and external audiences.You should possess good IT skills, including MS Office, and be familiar with or willing to learn the different University IT systems.
