An exciting opportunity has arisen in the technical services team assisting the School of Veterinary Medicine within the pathology and anatomy area, supporting our pathology-based teaching and research programmes.

The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey has benefitted from substantial investment in excess of £45m and aims to deliver the highest quality teaching and research using multi-disciplinary approaches within the purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities.

Working as part of the technical services team you will have a professional and committed attitude with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.   

Knowledge and experience of the safe handling and disposal of animal tissue samples will be required. You will support Veterinary Surgeons and academic colleagues in delivering pathology teaching and will support students in their learning experience whilst working to relevant health and safety requirements and processes.

The role requires you to have a Full Driving Licence that is valid to use within the UK for collections of teaching material. Applicants should be aware that the role is physically demanding (i.e. Involves lifting of materials). 

The post holder will be required to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team, supporting others within the School of Veterinary Medicine.
