The University of Surrey Living Lab programme aims to utilise the University campus, staff and students, as well as partners and stakeholders in the surrounding Surrey communities, to nurture research and innovation to address real-world issues. The partners involved in a Living Lab project define the project together (co-create), share knowledge and deliver the project, resulting in outputs and impact from which they all benefit.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed person to work with the University of Surrey Living Lab programme manager, and a range of senior academic colleagues, to help deliver a number of exciting Living Lab research projects.
The Project Officer will support academics in setting up and monitoring Living Lab projects, provide advice and support, liaise with internal departments and colleagues, establish and maintain partnerships with key external organisations, help develop future plans and funding opportunities, and communicate about the Living Lab programme. A key aspect will be to develop good working relationships with our project partners (external) and to ensure the Living Lab projects stay on target to achieve their research aims.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in partnership are essential, and strong project management skills are highly desirable. You will need to be highly organised. Join us to make a different in bringing research to life.
