Surrey Research Park (SRP), a world-class 70-acre science & technology park, owned by the University of Surrey (UoS) and home to around 200 businesses from start-ups to multinationals, is looking to recruit a driven individual as Senior Receptionist.  

SRP’s impact is immense, contributing almost £620 million GVA for the UK economy.  The team at Surrey Research Park is responsible for not only delivering a first-class business service to tenants but ensuring optimal and strategic business growth and resilience for the successful future of the Park whilst driving partnerships between tenants, the University of Surrey and third-party organisations.  

 The post holder(s) will ensure high standards of delivery for the day to day front of house operations whilst supporting the delivery of the Park’s Development strategy.  They will ensure exceptional service to our tenants, visitors, contractors and external organisations whilst also assisting the Operations Manager in compliance testing and inspections.  The candidate will be a key player in the Research Park’s team, able to operate independently at times and a willingness to assist in technical support (through training) as/when required.   

 You will be joining at an exciting period of change and growth for the Research Park. Under a backdrop of a rapidly changing sector and new leadership, this position represents a great opportunity for individuals looking for an impactful role within an entrepreneurial and innovative community. 

 The successful candidate will have:  

  • Can do attitude and good interpersonal skills as they will be working with a wide variety of different stakeholders   
  • Experience of reception/operational services  
  • Support the Park’s Development strategy whilst ensuring the operational needs of our tenants
  • Experience/understanding of switchboard systems (training will be provided)
  • Understanding of digital technologies to improve/drive customer experience
  • Strong attention to detail  

 This role is advertised as a full-time role however, we are open to part-time applicants (30 hours + per week) and also supportive of job-share applications should suitable candidates be found.  There is a requirement for the needs of the business to be delivered and therefore, shift patterns can be discussed with applicants at interview stage.
