We're looking for a motivated and passionate self-shooting film maker to join our team. If you can shoot video, produce quality films for promotional purposes, and edit existing video, then we'd love to hear from you.

The goal is to promote the University and create engaging content for both internal and external audiences, including prospective students. You'll have great creative ideas and be able to work to brand guidelines to produce consistent films for Surrey.

What we need from you?


    At least two year’s experience in editing video footage from a range of sources.

    An ability to shoot, edit and deliver consistent, engaging and high quality video, that is aligned to organisational priorities and on-brand.

    Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Premiere Pro).

    Knowledge of video editing processes (including colour grading) and backing up media.

    Great organisation to manage multiple projects, suppliers, equipment, and video archives/data logs.

    Great initiative and an ability to work independently.

    Skills to support others (internal staff and suppliers) to deliver engaging content.


    Creative flare to follow trends and pitch own ideas for new content.

    Experience of creating video for social media advertising

    Experience of drafting film guidelines for external suppliers and in-house use.

    Flexibility to work out of hours occasionally.

    Flexibility to film on campus (and rarely off-site) at short notice.
