Salary:  £6,182 per annum pro rata (0.28 FTE)

You will be service of offensive waste disposal at the University of Surrey sites in Guildford. 

You must possess excellent customer service skills, take initiative and be sensible with the service. your time will be split between Guildford locations. 

This role covers a range of defined daily cleaning task and must ensure our washrooms are serviced. Whether it be emptying sanitary bins, replacing hand sanitizers and loo roles, or servicing urinals. you’ll play a vital part in keeping our washrooms hygienic and fresh. 

Flexibility is required and the role will be on rota 5 days out of 7 

You will come into contact with a range of customers such as students, staff and visitors so polite and courteous manner are required.

 Awareness of help and safety is essential and the ability to follow training and H&S guidelines. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but is not essential as support and training will be given. 

Candidates need to be physically fit to carry out manual handling duties, carry cleaning materials and move some small items of equipment. 

You will be responsible for the safe keeping of the University properties and buildings to which you are assigned, so attention to detail and security is important. 

Candidates must be able to understand and act on both written and verbal instructions in English. 

Essential task to the role includes: 

• Emptying and cleaning Sanitary Disposal Bins 

• Servicing Urinals

• Replacing, emptying and maintaining our other products within our customers washrooms. 

• Be comfortable working in and around customer washrooms and toilets (male, female and unisex)

• Be able to work flexibly between the hours of 6am and 6pm, 10 hours per week. Hours to be negotiated 

• Have held a full UK Manual Driving Licence for a minimum of 12 months (Subject to insurance requirements), with a maximum of 3 points. 

• A Share company vehicle keep on site will be allocated to reach external areas from Staghill Campus owned Surrey Sports Park, childcare salary sacrifice, transport.
