Teaching Support Technician (Anatomy) Fixed Term - 1 year

An exciting fixed term appointment has arisen in the technical services team assisting the School of Veterinary Medicine within the pathology and anatomy area, supporting our pathology-based teaching and research programmes.

The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Surrey has benefitted from substantial investment in excess of £45m and aims to deliver the highest quality teaching and research using multi-disciplinary approaches within the purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities.

Working as part of the diverse technical services team you will have a professional and committed attitude with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.   

Knowledge and experience of the safe handling and disposal of animal tissue samples would be an advantage but eagerness to learn is as important. You will support Veterinary Surgeons and academic colleagues in delivering Animal Anatomy teaching and will support our diverse student body in their learning experience whilst working to relevant health and safety requirements and processes.

The role requires you to have a Category B Full Driving Licence that is valid to use within the UK, or equivalent, for collection of teaching materials. Applicants should be aware that the role is physically demanding (i.e. Involves lifting of materials). 

The post holder will be required to work flexibly and reliably as part of a diverse team, supporting others within the School of Veterinary Medicine.
