The University is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with a keen interest in the development of real world impact from research. Do you have a passion for helping to translate high quality research to real world impact and societal benefit, if so, the Senior Impact Officer role could be for you.

The Senior Impact Officer will play a pro-active role in facilitating and co-ordinating impact activity across the University, being the first point of contact and galvanising the network of impact support across the university and beyond it.  The Senior Impact Officer will confidently use their strong interpersonal and communication skills to stimulate discussion and share best practice around routes to impact and real world benefit and support the generation of impact case studies for REF 2021.

They will develop networks with a range of research users and academics to better understand and navigate the complexities of how research can impact end users in a whole range of fields and how it can best be supported.

The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent project/organisational skills. Ideally, candidates will be familiar with or have experience working in a research or knowledge exchange environment and have an understanding of impact within the higher education sector. 

Applicants should be educated to Degree level, HND, NVQ 4 qualified and have several years’ relevant experience.
