Why Surrey?
The University of Surrey is located on a beautiful, leafy campus in Guildford, just 30 miles from London. We are ambitious, and through the talents and endeavour of every employee, Surrey has earned its place as one of the top higher education institutions in the UK and has a bold vision to be a truly global University.
The Role

The Events Co-ordinator will also work with the wider events team to ensure that the necessary processes, equipment and resources are in place to facilitate the successful delivery of all University events.
What you’ll need to succeed
-
You are likely to have proven experience of running events from concept to evaluation with good knowledge of the operational requirements which are central to their successful delivery, such as staging, catering, AV and risk assessments.
-
Higher education exposure would be a plus, but not a necessity.
-
You will have confident communication skills and proficient in building effective working relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.
-
You will be skilled at planning and organising your time to deliver a range of projects concurrently showcasing flexibility where necessary in order to manage changing circumstances.
-

Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive 25 days annual leave, 6 University closure days and 1 assigned discretionary day each year on top of the standard public holiday dates. The University also offers a great benefits package including pension and discounted membership to the world-renowned Surrey Sports Park.
