£33,309 to £39,739 pro rata (0.6FTE)

We are seeking an Employability and Professional Skills Adviser to support our undergraduate and postgraduate physics students. The Adviser will provide training and advice to students seeking work placements (summer and year-long). The Adviser will liaise with employers to maintain relationships and to establish new ones. The Adviser will organise seminars, information sessions and lectures by external professionals to create a vibrant employability culture within the Department of Physics. The appointee will work closely with the Director of Employability in Physics, with Careers staff at the University of Surrey, and with colleagues within the South East Physics Network (SEPNet)

The ideal post-holder will have experience in careers advising, a knowledge of employer needs, and a track record in supporting the professional development of science students.
