Team Surrey is excited to be recruiting coaches to work with a variety of clubs across Team Surrey for the 2019/20 season. We are looking for highly competent coaches who are capable of working with motivated and passionate students as they aim for sporting success with their chosen club alongside their degree studies.

The successful candidates should hold a minimum of a UKCC Level 2 or equivalent and a current Safeguarding qualification and ideally will have sound knowledge/experience of the overall landscape of their specialist sport.

Team Surrey continues with its ambitious plans to remain one of the top 30 ranked Universities within BUCS along with increasing participation at all levels within each of its 45 sports clubs. Coaches are will not only ensure a great environment for both learning and performance but will help develop the club as a whole, assisting the club committees as they see fit to help clubs develop appropriately. Candidates interested in the role should be able to:

·         deliver appropriate coaching throughout the year that stretches experienced players but also develop those new to the game dependent on session type.

·         increase average training numbers by planning innovative, fun and demanding sessions that improve players

·         plan and structure the season appropriately, utilising training sessions, other available sessions and non-BUCS Wednesdays to create other training and playing opportunities for the development of club members at all levels

·         work with the club to build a clear and transparent development and selection pathway and provide feedback to all players on selection decisions

·         provide advice and guidance that is inclusive to all club members in order to facilitate participation, engagement and performance across all aspects and levels of each club
