Research and Innovation Support Officer – Information Management and Digital Content

Research and Innovation

Salary:  £27,511 to £30,046 per annum
Permanent
Post Type:  Full Time
Advert Placed:  Monday 25 November 2019
Closing Date:  Sunday 05 January 2020
Interview Date:  To be confirmed

This role is all about providing information to our customers in a way that is accurate, accessible and intuitive. We are a new team and there is a big challenge to support the creation of a digital presence that enables academics and key partners, to self-serve where possible and access additional support when needed. There is scope to shape the role and the ‘project’ to review current content, information architecture and potential channels. For the right candidate this is a really exciting opportunity to use their skill at managing, creating, arranging and disseminating information.

As a key member of the multi-disciplinary support office we also value flexibility and adaptability. Being part of this team will ensure that the key areas of support for academics are delivered in a coordinated and consistent way. At times that will mean working in other areas of the team (as described in the job profile) to ensure that busy periods and leave are covered.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to create and organise online content using a web content management system. Key to this is the ability to make complex and often detailed information accessible. They will also be used to working as part of a team as well as individually, and applying or learning skills as required.
